Bali Photo Diary

Throwback to that time three months ago when I was holidaying in Bali. Yes, it has taken me that long to get these photos up on the blog and yes it is all but a distant memory!!

Being one of  the closest tropical islands to Perth, Bali is the go-to holiday destination for us Aussies. It is actually closer (and cheaper) to fly to Bali than to head over to the east coast of Australia which is why holidays to Bali are so frequent on this side of the globe.

But honestly, how can you blame us?? With those beautiful palm trees, breathtaking tropical sunsets and scrumptious eateries Bali is the ultimate quick holiday destination, oh and not to mention the endless lazy days by the pool… perfection!

Time to start planning the next one I’d say..

Denim Days

(Shorts –  Beginning Boutique, Shirt – Cotton On, Watch – Michael Kors)

Let’s just take a moment to acknowledge the classic denim shirt shall we? This versatile little piece should really be a staple in everybody’s wardrobe.
If I was going to be honest I would admit that I actually have a few denim shirts (in very similar hues) and I’m still looking to expand on my collection (desperately seeking the ultimate chambray version!) BUT that would be sort of like admitting I have a problem so there will be no such confessions today!

These shots were taken whilst in Bali recently and have me dreaming of warmer days. The Autumn weather has finally hit and even though Autumn is the perfect denim shirt wearing season, I am still not happy about it. In fact, in protest against the rain, I stayed indoors in my pyjamas all day. So there. Hopefully tomorrow it will take the hint and disappear!!

Motel Mexicola

(Dress – Topshop, Bag – Sportsgirl, Shoes –Novo)

Now, I have never actually been to Mexico but I’m pretty sure after visiting Motel Mexicola in Bali I can almost say that I have!
The place is seriously amazing, with so much attention to detail, you actually feel like you are holidaying in Mexico instead of Bali.

A few taquitos and tequilas later, I just couldn’t say no to a quick outfit shoot. Especially when by total coincidence (I swear!!) my outfit matched the decor perfectly!
Although, truth be told, I could have spent hours taking photos.. the interior design was that perfect! (Home decor inspo, anyone?)

A definite must visit if ever you travel to Bali… A little piece of Mexico right in the centre of Seminyak!!

Wedding Blues

(Dress – Finders Keepers, Wedges – Betts, Headpiece – Sportsgirl)

A wedding in a tropical location calls for a light, bright, breezy outfit and flowers, somewhere. I managed to tick all those boxes with this little ensemble I put together for a friends wedding in Bali last week.
The wedding was held at a private villa in Tabanan. It was a little far from the main tourist areas but the countryside and ocean views surrounding the villa were the ideal backdrop for such a romantic occasion. It was a gorgeous affair and the most perfect way to end our holiday. (Although having to leave for the airport at 6am the next day, to make our flight home was probably not the greatest of ideas.)
