Welcome to a new series on the blog: The Fab Five Under $50.
As I have previously mentioned, I am slightly addicted to online shopping* (aren’t we all?!). I thought I would put my addiction to good use by bringing you a weekly look at some of the fabulous fashion finds I have come across during my online browse-a-thons. The best part being that they are all under $50!!
You can just think of me as your helpful, shopping, fairy godmother. (Too far?!)
So, let me know what you think and more importantly, what you would like me to keep an eye out for in future posts!

Happy Shopping!

*I have also realised I may have a slight leopard print addiction!

Denim on Denim

Wearing: ASOS Denim JeansH and M Denim Shirt (Similar here and here), Leather Jacket (Similar here), Betts bootsSaint Laurent Clutch.

Denim on denim has almost become a fashion lover’s style staple these days. Gone are the days where wearing double anything was considered a fashion faux pas, and I couldn’t be happier.
I love a good matching outfit (see the evidence here and here!) and matching denim with denim is no exception!
These denim jeans from ASOS are a recent purchase and I have to say one of the most comfortable pairs of jeans I own. I could practically wear them every day. (Ok, so I kind of do!) I wore them with this H and M shirt that I picked up at a recent blogger garage sale for $2! The best two dollars I’ve ever spent, I reckon!

What do you think? Do you dare to double up your denim?

Midi Skirt Madness

Wearing: ASOS SkirtSportsgirl Jumper (Sold out- similar here and here), Nude Heels (similar here.)

Another day another midi skirt… Obsessed much?!
I may have accidentally purchased this skirt in another colour. Oopsy.
In my defense though, the pink version was on sale and like I said before, I had been searching for the perfect full midi skirt for a while! If you are on to a good thing…
I generally wear a midi skirt with a cropped, fitted top but this time I styled it a little bit differently. (You know, to make it seem like a different skirt!)
I kind of like the oversized, slouchy feel of this outfit. Although it is easy to look swamped when wearing baggy items together, I feel like by adding heels and slightly tucking the jumper in, it gives it less of a bulky look.
What do you think? How do you wear your midi skirt?

Classic Coat

Wearing: Bec and Bridge TopVintage Skirt (similar here and here), ASOS CoatNude Heels (similar here).

Reason number 3476 why I hate Winter: The Flu.
A sore throat that never goes away, a nose that drips constantly, a sick child that coughs so much she vomits (all through the night!) Yep, Winter is officially flu season and it is very much alive in this household. I have been through a whole box of tissues today alone and my nose is still running.. Urghh!

In an attempt to fight through the sickness haze and ‘look on the bright side’, I have had a think about some of the things I actually like about Winter. (I got stuck at three.) Coming in at the top of my rather dismal list though, is the coat.
I try to stick to a classic style when it comes to coats, as there are only limited occasions to wear them through out the year (in this particular climate, anyway!) So, a coat that can last through multiple Winters is a must. I snapped this ASOS coat up on sale a few weeks ago and am quite happy about it! It’s great fit and perfect neutral colour means it will definitely be around to see me through the next few Winters, at least!

Now if you’ll excuse me I must head out for some more tissues…

Twirling Girl

asos midi skirt, beginning boutique stripe crop top
Wearing: Stripe TopAsos Skirt , Betts Boots (similar here and here).

Is anyone else obsessing over midi skirts at the moment?! I just can’t seem to get enough!!
After searching for the perfect full circle midi for a while, (and having a few failed attempts!) I finally found the one. This Asos number has just the right amount of material* and drape, a perfectly cinched waistband and spot on mid calf length. Tick, tick, tick!

Due to the voluminous nature of the midi skirt, it is easy to look a little errr.. frumpy in this style. That’s why I think a cropped top is an ideal complementing piece. Showing a little bit of skin up top balances out the rather respectable skirt length. On this particular day, I opted for a long sleeve crop top (it is Winter after all!) and teamed it back with my trusty black boots!

*Essential for twirling!

River View

(Top – Vintage Chic Clothing, Skirt – ASOS, Clutch – Witchery, Rings – Lovisa)

See, I told you there would be more outfit posts! This one is from my husband’s work Christmas party just before Christmas. (Yes, before Christmas! I know, I know.. Bad blogging!!)
The function was held right on the Swan River, providing the perfect setting for these photos. (Even though the wind wasn’t on the same page, clearly not fashion conscious!)

Because I was very eager to wear it, I decided to debut a piece from the Vintage Chic Clothing collection. This patterned crop top is just one of the exciting new items that will be hitting the store very soon. Be sure to keep your eyes on the Facebook page for more updates!

Happy New Year!
I hope you all celebrated in style and enjoyed the first moments of 2014.

I thought I would start the year off with a quick outfit post. I’m wearing a few of my favourite new additions to my wardrobe including this unique clutch I purchased from ASOS recently.
Personally, I think it’s great and it certainly sparks a lot of conversation whenever I wear it!
Admittedly, they are mostly negative comments from people who think it’s a little out there but hey, you can’t please everyone.
