Three Ways to Wear Skirts in Winter

Boots and leather in Summer, and tees and skirts in Winter… who says you need to pack away half your wardrobe as the seasons change, anyway?

You may know by now that I am a big believer in wearing things again and again. (Evidence here, here anddddd here) When I find that piece I love, I never want to let it go, no matter how weather appropriate! Just because the seasons change, it doesn’t mean your favourites need to be pushed to the back of the closet. So naturally, I have been continuing my love for bare legs (and my favourite denim mini!) and figuring out a way to wear skirts in Winter without freezing by butt off!

Look 1: Denim skirt with an oversized faux fur coat.

This faux fur coat only came in to my life recently but oh my, it is fast becoming my favourite. (Side note: I am actually wearing it right now!) It is so comfy and SO DAMN COSY, that I automatically reach for it just about every day. Needless to say it is the perfect addition to a Winter skirt look and it will definitely keep you toasty warm. You may even feel like you are wearing a totally Winter appropriate look, bare legs and all!

Look 2: Skirt with a knit and leather jacket.

Skirts with knits are one of my favourite Autumn combos. Come Winter though, and this combo needs that extra layer to keep you warm. That’s when I reach for my trusty leather jacket. It keeps me so warm and of course adds an effortless cool vibe to the combo!

Look 3. Layers and boots.

As I have mentioned previously, I tend to wear boots all year round but in Winter they become a necessity! Try an over the knee pair for extra warmth or just stick to good old ankle boots. Invest in a couple of thicker long sleeve tops too, which make great layering pieces during the colder months.

Love all your outfits here dear. Sooo chic and sassy! My fave would be the 3rd outfit. Love the soft hue of the jacket.
