If you are looking for a sure fire way to spice up your wardrobe (if you are not a fan of bright colours and prints that is!) then today’s post is for you…
This may shock you to know, but most of my wardrobe is made up of fairly neutral colour tones, aside from the odd red jumper or pink puffer jacket! This may seem pretty dull but I try to make sure my outfits are anything but boring by adding in different textures. One texture in particular that I can’t get enough of lately is vinyl! (As I sit here opening today’s delivery containing a pair of vinyl leggings.. brb, just going to try them on!)
Ok, I’m back.. for the record the leggings were amazing! Yay for successful online purchases! As you can probably tell, I have decided now is the perfect time to get into this trend as we head towards Winter. I mean, I can’t really imagine attempting a pair of vinyl pants in Summer.. I’m feeling hot just thinking about it!
Now I know you are probably thinking, vinyl = dominatrix.. but I am here to tell you, you don’t need to accessorise with whips and chains to rock this trend. (In fact I would strongly advise against it, unless that is your thing, of course!) Team your vinyl pieces with casual knits, t-shirts, denim, or even a pair of sneakers, to make them more suitable for everyday wear.
Oh, and just a handy hint when buying your vinyl pieces (pants especially!) do a quick walking and sitting sound test! They can be prettttyyy noisy!
