Sharing three transitional outfits to wear now.. plus how to style your new Spring pieces later too!
Raining one day, sunny the next!! Ahhh the transitional months, making the old ‘what am I going to wear’ decision just that little bit harder!
I know all about the struggles of not only finding something to wear but also knowing what to buy, when the weather is being all crazy like. It becomes so hard to resist all the cute Spring styles as soon as they hit the stores.. even though we know they may not be worn for a few months, which is why I decided to create these three transitional outfits, mixing and matching a few old Winter faves with some new Spring pieces.
Gingham print just screams Summer, don’t you think?? I could not resist buying this cute ruffle skirt the second I saw it, which come to think of it was actually in the middle of Winter! Luckily I have managed to wear it quite a few times since then. To make it more weather appropriate for now, I have teamed it with a Winter coat and some sock boots on numerous occasions!
Buy now: Gingham Skirt.
Wear now: Wear it back with a coat and booties.
Wear later: Team it with a cute shirred crop top in a bold colour, such as red (aka my new favourite colour!)
It’s no secret that I luuuurve denim, so naturally when the weather starts to warm up I swap out my denim jeans for it’s Summer sister, the denim skirt… and no, it’s never too early to add a denim skirt to your wardrobe!! Make it work for the trans-seasonal months by wearing it with over the new boots and a jacket. (Double up on the denim if you dare!)
PS. Wearing the same tee again, yep I’m a serial #outfitrepeater
Buy now: Denim skirt and denim jacket.
Wear now: Team your denim skirt with over the knee boots to combat the cooler temps.
Wear later: A plain embroidered tee and sneakers is set to be my Summer go-to.
Ahhh knitwear one of the (only) things about Winter I look forward too! Heading in to the warmer months doesn’t mean we have to kiss our knitwear goodbye (not just yet anyway!). Go for a lighter knit option and layer it up while the weather is still fairly mild. I love this distressed option from Chicwish for a super cool transitional piece.
Buy now: Lightweight knit.
Wear now: Pair a lightweight knit with a leather skirt or pants. Add a jacket layer for the cool mornings.
Wear later: Denim shorts and knits go hand in hand, if you ask me!
