Ok, we all know how to wear gingham print in Summer right? The cute mini check pattern screams sunshine and picnics. But that is not to say that gingham can’t be equally as cute in Winter.
As we head down the deep dark path to Winter here in Australia (I really hate Winter, can you tell?!), I am happy to see so many cold-weather appropriate takes on the trend. I have styled a couple of looks above featuring two of my new gingham pieces.
I picked up this ruffle 3/4 sleeve top from Zara recently. I had been holding out on purchasing a gingham top until I found the perfect one and I have to say I am pretty pleased with my choice! Luckily for us Southern Hemisphere gals, there are plenty of long sleeve gingham options available at the moment. They look perfect paired with a pair of skinny jeans jeans and a trusty leather jacket. Simple, yet chic!
My gingham ruffle skirt, above, would be suitable for Summer or Winter. It is made from a slightly thicker fabric and also comes in a longer length. I can see myself wearing this one with over-the-knee-boots and a long coat when the weather gets a bit cooler. For now though we are lucky enough to still get away with bare legs, so I’m going to hang onto that for as long as I can!
