Two Spring racing style looks you will definitely wear again…
We all know the feeling we get when we purchase a new dress for a special occasion, when you find the one and just totally fall in love… ahh yes! The best!
However… I’m sure we also know the feeling of seeing that perfect dress just hanging in the wardrobe months later, having never been worn again! That’s the downside to buying a ‘one-wear-only‘ fancy new dress, right?!
So as the Spring racing carnival begins, I’m here to show you two race day looks that you will definitely wear again.
Spring Racing Look 1 – A playsuit:
The best way to get maximum wear out of your race day look, is to opt for a playsuit instead of a dress. Try to avoid a thin spaghetti strap playsuit and go for a longer length sleeve to add sophistication to the style. Also, try to choose a luxe fabric, such as lace or silk.
Playsuits can be dressy enough to wear to the races, but can also easily be dressed down, they look just as great styled with heels and a clutch as they do with sneakers or ankle boots and a denim jacket for a casual day outfit.
Spring Racing Look 2: A Flowy Dress:
Another great way to ensure maximum wear from your Spring racing style is to stay away from traditional ‘special occasion’ tight, midi length dress (you know the ones!) and go for a fun, flowy choice instead. Again, choose a luxe fabric to dress up this style and stick to an all over colour for added elegance!
SHOP FLOWY DRESSES:
Lastly, for your accessory choices.. nothing says glam more than nude accessories. Go for a classic pump or strap sandal and team with minimal jewellery.
When choosing your headpiece, remember to keep it within your own personal style. Don’t go for over the top millinery just because you feel you have to! Personally I am not one to go too crazy, a hair clip or crown accessory such as these stunning Studio Annis pieces would be my preferred option. A simple piece that looks chic without being too over the top has a better chance of being worn again too!
