Today’s post is dedicated to my sweet, crazy, energetic, sassy little girl, who turns four tomorrow!
I honestly can’t believe four years ago today I was nervously preparing* to be admitted to hospital to be induced to give birth! How time flies when you are having fun (well.. fun most of the time!)
Whenever anyone asks me what it is like being a mum, well, I tell them the truth! Sometimes it is the most magical thing in the world, like when Miss Z kisses me goodnight and tells me she loves me with her cheek pressed to mine, or when she excitedly runs up to me to throw her arms around me when I get home from work… but sometimes it can really suck too! I mean all the love in the world couldn’t make me enjoy getting up from my half-eaten lunch to tend to her on the toilet (I swear she times her toilet visits for when I am in the middle of eating!) or as much as I love the sound of my own voice, repeating a simple instruction 1 million times is definitely NOT my favourite thing to do!
In fact, while I type this she is lying on the floor underneath my jacket crying and refusing to move until I give in and allow her to put on her bathers and run around outside.. in the middle of Winter!! #mumlife I told you it was fun!! Regardless, I love her to pieces and I couldn’t imagine life without my little mini me by my side!
On a side note: I have had these jeans for years and recently decided to revamp them by simply chopping off the hem and turning them into a cropped raw hem style! I pretty much just folded them in half, made sure they were even and cut straight across, then threw them in the washing machine! Hello new favourite jeans!
* by preparing I mean blowdrying my hair and painting my nails, obvs!!
