A quick look at some of the event’s I have been to lately..
These past few weeks I have been to a lot of really awesome events, if you follow me on snapchat (@shedoesstyle) you may have seen some of them already but, I wanted to share some of my favourites with you today to give you a little glimpse in to my blogging life (I say blogging life because even though attending events is ‘real’ life for me, it is only one side of it.. if you want #reallife then it will be updates about my daughter wetting the bed at 11pm or my all-too-frequent trips to the grocery store to buy MORE FOOD and I’m preeeeetty sure blogging events are way more exciting!).
Anyway the first event was the launch of local Perth designer Jonte‘s latest collection, Galvanised. As you can see above the collection features lots of metal, sequin details and sexy, flowy pieces. I have been a fan of Jonte’s for a while (see a recent feature here!) and not only is she the loveliest person, she is super talented too! It is so great to see local designers doing their thing and being successful at it!
A couple of Friday’s ago I was lucky enough to be invited along to an intimate cooking class hosted by Electrolux in conjunction with Taste of Perth. Local chef Hadleigh Troy shared his ‘chef’s secrets’ and taught us how to prepare a three part Marron dish. Small confession here, I actually do not eat seafood so was a little hesitant at first, especially seeing exactly how the dish was made, but I have to say it was so tasty and definitely something I would try again. After eating our seafood creation we were treated to the most divine dessert before we headed out to see what the rest of the Taste Of Perth festival has to offer! Let’s just say lots of food and wine tasting ensued!
Lululemon are one of my favourite activewear brands and I have worked with the team here in Perth a lot on the blog and with Fit Club Perth. I was invited along to the opening of their brand new store in Claremont Quarter earlier in the month. Fellow Fit Club Perth-er Jenelle and I went along to check out the new store, which was so spacious and decked out with all of Lulu’s signature pieces. We snacked on amazingly delicious and healthy bites by Nood before we raced down to Fremantle to support our girl Adelle in the launch of The Jungle Body Tribe (Yep that was a particularly busy night!). If you haven’t heard of The Jungle Body and their Konga workouts then trust me you need to check it out! Working up a sweat and burning calories while dancing to all the latest hip hop tracks.. what’s not to love!
And lastly, last night I went along to the opening of Pigeonhole Perth’s flagship store. Pigeonhole has become a familiar name around Perth in the last seven years, stocking everything from fashion and accessories to quirky gifts and well lots of succulents (I wanted to buy all of them but my track record for keeping all plants alive is not very good!). The owner Johann was so excited to finally have a permanent space where the Pigeonhole brand could continue to grow and of course continue to provide their customers with the unique and fun wares they have become renowned for!
I hope you enjoyed that little glimpse in to some of the events I have been lucky enough to attend lately. Let me know if you would like to know more or if you would like to see regular updates like this, then I will continue to post them!
Happy Friday friends!
