Happy Friday everyone! How are we back here again huh?!
As I sit here typing away in my ‘home office’ (Look.. I’m not going to lie to you guys, today’s office is the couch.. it’s a Friday after all!) the weather outside has changed from warm and sunny to dark and stormy to rain and back again about four times…a fairly typical Autumn day then. The unpredictable weather leads me to the point of today’s post, why a sleeveless knit is just as important as it’s longer sleeved counterpart! Days like today require a warm outfit that can easily be altered to suit the changing weather and in case you haven’t heard layering is
just about the best part about Winter! Trying to layer up a long sleeve turtleneck knit with a leather jacket or a coat on a fairly mild Autumn day might lead to hyperthermia, which is where the sleeveless knit comes in!
I have been told that buying a sleeveless anything for Winter is just silly, but honestly for this climate, and my love of layering and knitwear, the sleeveless knit is a must. While I wouldn’t advise layering anything under the sleeveless knit, multiple layers, such an open shirt and a denim jacket, or a leather jacket and a draped coat, on top of the sleeveless knit work perfectly. Finish off your look with an oversized scarf and some leather shorts or ripped denim and you are ready for whatever the weather throws at you!
What do you think? Is there room for a sleeveless knit in your wardrobe?
