I am writing this in my underwear in 42 degree heat and all I can think of is diving in to a giant pool filled with ice water! SO HOT!

Having said that, I think now would be the perfect time to discuss Summer’s number one wardrobe staple, denim shorts.. and obviously a conversation about denim shorts would not be complete without One Teaspoon.. the reigning king of denim cut-offs!.

Growing up I have always had a bit of a fear of denim ‘short’ shorts. As a teenager I stayed away from shorter hemlines (how weird for an 18 year old!) I was very self concious about my legs and hated how they looked, and I was more than a little paranoid about my cellulite!  Over the years I have become less self concious although there are still times when I am not feeling confident enough for denim cut-offs! Today’s outfit is for one of those days.. when you want to wear your favourite denim shorts but don’t want to feel like your entire body is on display. This longline tunic top works perfectly as the side splits give a little glimpse of the shorts on the side. So clever!

I still absolutely love One Teaspoon though, for all my denim requirements, even if I do find some of the cuts on their shorts a little.. confronting! Not to mention finding the perfect size for that slouchy fit, without  having them actually fall down. (It has taken me three attempts to get the right size!) If you are like me and want that perfect slouchy, ripped look One Teaspoon are renowned for, without having your butt cheeks hanging out the back (or the side), my advise is to go up a size or two above your normal size and opt for a style with a bit of a longer leg length such as the Chargers! (My latest OT purchase!)

Denim shorts are always my spring and summer #1 staple pieces. Love how you can dress them up with a fancy shirt and heels, or dress them down with a t-shirt and sneakers. Lovely post! The heels are amazing 🙂 x Alona

Yesss One Teaspoon is my go to brand for denim shorts as well! They just have those oh so perfect designs! I also agree with some of their cut outs being a little over the top for me but oh well!
Love this look and you are definitely rocking those short shorts babe!
