On Sunday my husband and I celebrated our five six year wedding anniversary.* On the day, and after a mad call around to find a baby sitter (thanks Mum!), we decided to mark the occasion by lunching at the Cottesloe Beach Club.
Embarrassingly, it was the first time I have been there since it’s revamp a few years back. I was pretty impressed and just quietly, kicking myself it had taken so long! ‘The Cott’ that I once knew and loved is no longer. The decor and set up was spot on, bright and Summery, and exactly how I would like my backyard to look (complete with a bar in the corner and ocean across the road, thank you very much!) We enjoyed a delicious meal and of course, a few cheeky cocktails, before heading outside for a beachside stroll and a quick outfit shoot. (The joys of being married to me.. every outing ends in an outfit shoot!)
On another note, this Cotton On dress is the perfect trans-seasonal piece and even better, it’s less than $30! It’s that time of the year when dressing for the weather becomes as unpredictable as the weather itself. (Although in saying that, the forecast for every day next week is Sunny and 32 degrees.. can’t get more predictable than that!) The sheer, longer sleeve is ideal for those cooler afternoons and the floaty style makes it breezy enough for the warmer days! Can you tell I’m in love?
* If you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed I wrote five years on my post.. oopsy! There was a bit of confusion with how many years it had been but we got there in the end, I mean really who’s counting anyway right?!!
