As soon as the temperatures start to dip and the Autumn weather kicks in, I instinctively turn to my jeans. (After ignoring them all Summer, it’s a wonder they’ve stuck around!!)
Jeans are one of those items that you don’t necessarily need to replace each year. A good quality classic pair can last you through multiple seasons. Which is why they are my number one Autumn/Winter staple. Adding to that is their ability to be styled in so many different ways, making them a bit of a no-brainer Autumn must have, really!
In saying that though, this Autumn (thanks to General Pants!) I have been able to update my denim collection with a few new pairs. One of them being this washed black high-waisted pair by Ksubi. I had been on the hunt for black ripped jeans for a little while and I was pretty happy to find a pair where the knee rips actually match up to my knees! Ahh.. the life of a short girl!
Here in Perth our Autumns are fairly mild, with temperatures still reaching high twenties through most of the season, so to make my jeans work, I tend to team them with strappy shoes and floaty tops, even strapless/sleeveless tops, at least until the weather cools significantly. I wore this to brunch yesterday, with three of my fellow Perth blogger gal pals. We had the best brunch catch up at May Street Larder, before traipsing through the streets of Fremantle taking photos of each other… #bloggerlife. I will be sharing a few behind the scenes shots from the day very soon, so keep an eye out for that!
