Finallymy India photo diary from last year’s* trip is here. I know right?! Only two and a half months later! (In my defense, there were a LOT of photos to go through!!)
Anyway, excuses aside, I have finally edited and compiled the photos from the trip. As you can see, we divided our time in India between two beach side locations, Kovalam and Varkala, with a short stay in Cochin as well.
We spent the two and a half weeks eating, relaxing, swimming, eating, exploring and then eating again. Clearly working on perfecting the ultimate relaxation holiday and I think we did pretty well, personally!
I know India sounds like a bit of an odd place to go for a tropical beach holiday, but trust me, it isn’t! There are quite a few popular tourist beaches in India (Goa anyone?!) and believe it or not, Sundays spent by the beach are just as loved by the Indians as they are by us Aussies!
There are literally hundreds of beach front restaurants, in both Kovalam and Varkala and of course plenty of shops and tours. The beautiful, calm beaches with perfectly tepid water and, well let’s be honest here, insanely cheap cocktails make India one of my favourite beach holiday destinations.

Hope you enjoyed taking a peek into my holiday.

Have you traveled to India before? I would love to hear about your India holiday experience, too!

*Fun Fact: I have been to India every year since my first visit in 2006!
